UV Absorbers UV-360

UV-360 is a highly efficient benzotriazole UV absorber with the following main characteristics:

UV Absorption Range: Effectively absorbs UV radiation in the 300–400 nm wavelength range, with a peak at approximately 353 nm.

Low Volatility: Exhibits very low volatility, making it suitable for high-temperature processing environments.

Compatibility: Has good compatibility with a wide range of resins.

Thermal Stability: Possesses good thermal stability with a melting point of 195–198°C.

Migration Resistance: Low migration and good extraction resistance, preventing crystalline exudation and sublimation.

UV-360 can be used in combination with other light stabilizers or antioxidants and is suitable for the following materials:

Engineering Plastics: Polycarbonate (PC), Polyamide (PA), Polyoxymethylene (POM)

Commodity Plastics: Polyolefins (PP, PE), Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)

Styrenic Polymers: ABS resin, Polystyrene (PS)

Other Materials: Acrylics, Polyesters, Elastomers, Adhesives

Processing Forms: Available in powder, solution, or melt extrusion forms. Suitable for casting, thin-layer construction of fibers, paper, and wallpaper, etc

UV-360 is particularly suitable for processing conditions requiring high UV loading, low volatility, and good compatibility, such as compound molding, fiber products, sheets, and laminated or co-extruded semi-finished components. Its main advantages include:

Special Note: Unlike UV-328, UV-360 is currently not included in the list of controlled substances under the Stockholm Convention and can serve as a compliant alternative.
