Fluorescent Whitening Agent ER-II (also known as C.I. Fluorescent Brightener 199:1, FBA 199:1) is a bisdiphenylethylene-type fluorescent whitening agent, appearing as a pale yellow crystalline powder. This product is insoluble in water but can be dispersed in organic media, exhibiting a blue-violet fluorescence under UV light excitation. ER-II belongs to the same series as ER-I, but has a lower heat-setting temperature and higher whitening performance, making it particularly suitable for the whitening treatment of polyester and its blended fabrics.

Features
ER-II is used for whitening polyester, and polyester-cotton blended fabrics.
Applications
It is suitable for whitening and brightening of polyester fibers. It also has good whitening effect on polyethylene, polypropylene and other plastics and products.
Reference dosage
The fluorescent brightener ER-I (FBA199) is added to the mixer together with polyester chips and other textile additives.
The recommended dosage of fluorescent brightener ER-I is 0.05%-0.5% (in proportion to the weight of polyester).
