Applications
Optical Brightener KSB mainly be used in whitening of synthetic fiber and plastic products, especially good at whitening of EVA.
Reference dosage
Recommended dosage: 0.005%~0.05% (weight ratio to plastic raw materials)
Direct Addition Method: Mix the whitening agent powder evenly with plastic pellets, color powder, oil, and other additives, then proceed directly to injection molding or extrusion.
Masterbatch Method: First, prepare a high-concentration masterbatch by combining the whitening agent with a carrier resin, then add the masterbatch to the raw material in the appropriate proportion. This method provides better dispersion.
Performance Features: What makes Optical Brightener KSB stand out?
A little goes a long way: Extremely low dosage required – typically only 0.005% – 0.05% (i.e., 5 to 50 grams per 100 kg of material) – yet delivers a remarkable whitening effect.
Highly heat-resistant: Melting point range of 237–245°C, which means it remains stable under demanding high-temperature processing conditions, making it ideal for plastics that require high-temperature melt processing (e.g., injection molding, extrusion).
Versatile and easy to use: Insoluble in water but readily soluble in most organic solvents. Exhibits excellent compatibility with plastics and synthetic fibers, with minimal risk of migration (blooming).
Broad-spectrum and efficient: Does not react with common additives such as blowing agents and crosslinking agents, enabling a wide range of applications.
Package & Storage
10kg or 25kg/ fiber drums. It can be packed in other forms according to user's requirements.
Shelf life: not more than 24 months in the room temperature.
