Fluorescent whitening agent SWN (also known as fluorescent whitening agent MDAC, C.I. 140) is a coumarin-type fluorescent whitening agent. It is soluble in acidic aqueous solutions, ethanol, ethylene glycol, and most organic solvents. Under UV light excitation, it emits red light with a violet hue, effectively neutralizing the yellow tint of the substrate to achieve excellent whitening effects.

Applications
This product is mainly used for whitening of wool, natural silk, nylon, acetate fiber and triacetate fiber. It can also be used for whitening of cotton and cyanamide, and can be used for whitening of cellulose fiber by adding resin.
Plastics Application
MDAC is typically used at a dosage of 0.01-0.06%. Mix evenly with the corresponding processing plastic, then proceed directly to injection molding or extrusion.
Textile Application
When used for wool, natural silk, and acrylic fibers, it is generally applied in liquid form:
