Fluorescent whitening agent PS-1 (C.I. Fluorescent Whitening Agent 199) is a styrylbenzene-type fluorescent whitening agent. It was successfully developed in 1985 by the Institute of Photographic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, representing a next-generation domestic whitening agent for polyester fibers. Its chemical structure is 1,4-bis(o-cyanostyryl)benzene, offering significant advantages in whitening effect compared to the traditional oxazole-type whitening agent DT.
Fluorescent whitening agent PS-1 is available in two specifications based on application temperature: High-Temperature Type and Low-Temperature Type.
High-Temperature Type (C.I. 199, CAS 13001-40-6): Offers good heat resistance, suitable for pad dyeing or high-temperature exhaust dyeing processes (120-130°C).**
Low-Temperature Type (C.I. 199:1, CAS 13001-38-2): Has an exhausting temperature of 80-100°C, suitable for low-temperature whitening processes.

Features
This product applies to pad dyeing and HTHP dip dyeing, especially low temperature adsorption and high temperature setting process.

Applications
Mainly be used in whitening of polyester fabric and its blends with strong fluorescence, high whitening performance, good fastness to light, wash and excellent fastness to sublimation.
Fluorescent whitening agent PS-1 is mainly used for whitening and brightening treatment of polyester fibers and various blended fabrics.

Reference dosage
1.Pad-thermos fixing process
ER-330 2-3g/L (should be adjusted according to the sample testing), procedure: pad(two dips and two squeezes, residual liquor content 70%) →dry(100ºC) →(180-200ºC, 20-30s). Attention: The goods must be rinsed thoroughly after pretreatment to ensure the PH below 8 the PH of the pad liquor should be adjusted to 4-5 with acetic acid.
2.HT exhausting process
ER-330 0.2-0.3%(o.w.f) liquor ratio: 1:10-30
Treating temperature 120-130ºC, Treating time :30-60min
PH 5-10 (5-7 is specially recommended)
Cautions:
1.If suspension liquid is found precipitated and separated, just shake it before use, which does not affect the use effect.
2.Please note that use this product within its yellow spot, i.e. pad dyeing ≤5g/l, dip dyeing ≤0.8% (o.w.f). If use this product beyond its yellow spot, it will be easy to become yellow.
